  • HØJSKOLESANGBOGEN FÅR SIN FØRSTE MILJØSANG - SINGLE UDE NU

    Da sangbogsudvalget begyndte deres arbejde med den nye udgave (som udkommer d 12 nov),
    bad de specifikt om at få sange med relation til miljø og klima.

    Og da jeg sidste forår, sammen med 30 andre komponister, blev inviteret til sangskrivnings-seminar, og for første
    gang hørte Lisbeth Smedegaard Andersens tekst “For vist vil de komme”, blev jeg med det samme forelsket i den.

    Den er på samme tid meget poetisk og konkret, og selvom den sigter mod dén måde vi behandler
    vores miljø og natur, så er den ikke “pegefingeragtig”, men inkluderende og positiv.

    Derfor kan den synges af alle der er optaget af vores miljø og natur og derfor er den for mig at se,
    som skabt til at blive “Danmarks nye miljø-fællessang”.

    Det har sangbogsudvalget tilsyneladende også ment, for de har udvalgt sangen til at være en af de ti sange der
    skal være spydsspidser i PR-arbejdet omkring den nye højskolesangbog.

    "For vist vil de komme" har tekst af Lisbeth Smedegaard Andersen og musik af undertegnede og er med i den nye Højskolesangbog (udk. 12 nov 2020).

    Sangbogsudvalget bad oprindeligt specifikt om sange om miljø og klima, og de har nu udvalgt sangen - som eneste miljøsang - til sammen med ni andre sange, at blive sær-eksponeret op til udgivelsen med interviews, podcast m.m.

    De der har været til mine koncerter fra august 2019 indtil Corona-suppen, vil have sunget den som fællessang.

    Der vil også blive udgivet et "backingtrack", som man vil kunne bruge til fællessangs-arrangementer (når vi må igen :-) )

    "Højskolesangbogen" was released for the first time in 1894 and is the closest you'll get to "The Danish National Songbook".

     It is now official, that I will be represented in the 2020 edition, with the melody for the song: "For vist vil de komme"
    ("Surely they will come"). You can read the - great - lyric and listen to a demo here:

    Var ude at spille et par dejlige kirkekoncerter med Hammond og kirke-organist
    Dan Hemmer for nylig.

    "En kirkekoncert med Jens Lysdal og Dan Hemmer gør indtryk.
    Fra det øjeblik at første tone slås an, er du som publikum inviteret venligt indenfor.
    Og der er plads til alle i Lysdals og Hemmers musikalske univers. Uanset om du er
    førstegangslytter eller erfaren lytter, må du overgive dig til Lysdals unikke stemme,
    det sublime guitarspil, orgelspil og sammenspil.
    Oplevelsen forstærkes yderligere af et helt utroligt nærvær, både musikalsk, men også
    over for publikum, som igen og igen inviteres indenfor. Et nærvær der også har en rigtig
    fin fornemmelse for kirkerummet. Lysdals musikalske stil er mangfoldig, og lader sig ikke
    lige sætte i bås – men en ting er sikkert: det er go’ stil.

    Lysdal synger blandt andet om ”Masser af tid”, og det er godt der er nok af den, for jeg
    glemte den fuldstændig, tiden, ligesom jeg glemte alt om pligter, ansvar, vasketøj og træthed.
    5 kvarter med Lysdals musik var alt der skulle til for at mit indre batteri igen stod på ”fuldt opladet”.
    En kirkekoncert med Lysdal og Hemmer efterlader et aftryk – en efterklang der varmer både sjæl
    og ører i dagene der følger".

    A CLASSIC GETS A NEW LIFE (article in danish)

    "16 years ago the danish singer, multimusician and songwriter Jens Lysdal created one of the most remarkable albums in newer danish popular musichistory - “A matter of time”. Now Jens has refurnished the vocals and the mastering – and everything still works.

    If you didn't know better, you should think that this was a new album from Sting - the style being sophisticated and jazzy pop.

    The vocals are distinct and mixed clearly in the front and the lyrics have a depth you'll have to search for a long time in the world of pop.
    And even if the album is 16 years old, the catchy and intelligent songs are still a fresh breath of air.
